Support is steadily pouring in for the friends and family of "good ol' country boy" Robbie Green following the single-vehicle crash late last month.
"My heart just shatters for this family," one well-wisher posted on Facebook when the sheriff's office announced his death. "Such wonderful people."
Green, who worked as an operator at JL Kent & Sons in Fredericksburg, loved to dance, sing, fish, and his most beloved possession was his 1985 Chevrolet K20 truck, according to his family.
"Robbie was the life of the party and always made everyone laugh," his obituary reads. "He was always known for his 'luscious hair and bright blue eyes.'"
Green had been active on Facebook less than 24 hours before his death. Since then, tributes have poured in as friends, family, and well-wishers mourn the loss of the 20-year-old.
"I cannot wrap my head around this," another posted. "My best friend since elementary school Cindy Acors Green received the most devastating news that her 20 year old son Robbie Green was killed in an automobile accident early this morning.
"Please keep this family and friends in yall's prayers for this difficult time."
Thousands of dollars have been raised for Green's family following his unexpected death.
"His family and friends will miss him dearly," organizers of a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of his mother wrote. "Robbie had a heart of gold and was fun to hang out with he could make you laugh with his sense of humor."
